DEWAR'S 12, also a product of Scotland, is a limited edition, unique blend of 12-year-old single malt and grain whiskies. Only after 12 years and when deemed properly mature, the Master Blender blends the whiskies together and then adds an extra step known as "marrying", whereby he places the blended whiskies back into casks and back into the warehouse for a further period before bottling. The resulting blend is robust and mature with a perfectly balanced and unique taste. The outcome is an unbelievably smooth Scotch Whisky that is unsurpassed.

Our vatted malt whisky follows the Cadenhead principle of non chill-filtration which gives it a very smooth rounded body. The name MOIDART comes from the phrase " My King has landed in Moidart" which is the first line of a Gaelic song celebrating the landing of "Bonnie Prince Charlie" in Moidart in his attempt to win the crown for his father.

A blended whisky produced by Cadenhead which is labelled as a liqueur whisky (an old term for a blend containing a high percentage of malt). The label depicts the view from our old premises at 47 Netherkirkgate, Aberdeen, an area known as Putachieside which, sadly, is no longer in existence.
