Intense black cherry and clove aromas lead to ripe blackberry and black cherry flavors, with hints of toasted oak and vanilla.
There's very little difference between this Merlot and La Joya's Gran Reserve. This wine has more plumpyness and less structure than its big brother, but it's nice if you like soft, round, chewy berry fruit and not much tannic bite or acidic roughness.
This is quite an interesting Merlot, not least because it actually lives up to Merlot's reputation as a soft Cabernet. It's ripe and juicy in cherry flavor with a rich, olivey earthiness enhanced and framed by oak.
At the same time, it's dry. The softness is balanced by wonderfully thick, fine tannins, with a grip that cries out for steak.

Has an ample layer of sweet, mocha-infused toast, but plenty of plum and blackberry notes as well. The long, fleshy finish lets the fruit and mineral notes hang together nicely, with an encore of toast.

Ripe and Juicy, with easygoing cherry, toasty caramel, spice and sage flavor. Drink now.
